Kaz + Desma

Where to begin? Desma contacted me in early May, looking for a photographer for her July wedding. I liked her immediately - perhaps it was because she has the coolest name ever, or maybe I fell in love with their story. They met as freshmen at Indiana University, he is from Japan, and she's from Chicagoland. They are such a beautiful couple! I love weddings where the bride and groom have been together for a long time. A wedding after you have been together for years is like a huge reward at the end of a beautiful courtship, and the beginning of the next big, beautiful journey.

I loved the rings. I absolutely love that Desma has a gorgeous blue stone (I'm not sure if it was a sapphire or another gem?) as the showpiece of her ring. Gorgeous.

There was some gorgeous window light at the Holiday Inn where they got ready...

I love these shoes! And Desma, your something old/borrowed/blue was incredible. I'm going to hint that Ayron should give me a ring like that for a future anniversary... :)
Desma's gorgeous dress was a Mori Lee...

I loved the corset back and the gorgeous beading!

Kaz & Desma opted to do a first look. I love it when a bride says she wants to do a first look! It gets some of the formals done with before the ceremony and you get to have that moment of seeing each other for the first time just to yourselves. I love how you can tell how excited Kaz is to see the beautiful Desma.

Desma! I can't handle you and your gorgeousness!

This shot was taken right after the first look - I love how happy they are to be with each other. :) I love love!

I love this photograph. :) We stopped into the Indiana Memorial Union just after their ceremony and group formals to cool off, and this lovely moment happened...

Hello blue eyes! You are so beautiful, Desma....

 Desma + Kaz = models.

This gorgeous table was the first thing you saw walking into the reception, and it was so lovely!

I love this guestbook idea: pretty pieces of paper with sweet thoughts for the bride & groom.

Their mini strawberry shortcake tower was an amazing cake replacement. As a non-cake lover, I loved their alternative choice. (Plus they had tasty candy and brownies up for grabs that were irresistible!)

Why are you guys so cute!?

Ayron and I actually stayed a little later than we had planned because the dancing festivities were so entertaining and fun. I totally wanted to drop my camera and join in! :)

Kaz & Desma, thanks for giving Ayron and I the privilege of documenting your love and your amazing day. It was all so beautiful, perfectly reflective of the two of you. :)
